State director guide

Local initiative. Shared responsibility.

A director helps people and businesses work together for the good of the overall charity.

What a director facilitates

Connect businesses, volunteers, and community partners; identify local needs; coordinate approved programs; keep a record of projects and results; share useful approaches across state lines.

Support and special consideration

WHPE can consider additional guidance, coordination help, recognition, and other support for state representatives whose work advances the overall charity. Record the charity’s approved arrangements on the state page. No compensation, exclusive territory, funding, or benefits have been promised by this dashboard.

How state status works

Each state begins with a director opportunity. Candidate notes remain planning records. A director is shown as appointed only after WHPE confirms the appointment. City directory coverage, a director appointment, and an active local program are separate records.

Keep the program structure clear

Community contains program plaques. Each program has its own overview, samples, and participants pages. Individual participants choose whether they want public visibility; private participant details do not belong on the public state map.
